We’re a Mayfair institution, where an Inn has been on this site since 1423. Our restaurant opened in 1952 and since then we have specialised in serving dry-aged, grass-fed British beef from an open grill. You’ll find a selection of Young’s ales at the bar, serving one of the best pints of Guinness in London, and a cellar full of wines from across the world, picked by Sommelier Vladimir. Our atmospheric private dining rooms are perfect for entertaining up to 20 guests.
Every visit is an experience in itself, and something to savour. From the original features and traditional décor, the venue feels like a time capsule from an earlier time.
We’re ideally located just a short walk away from Green Park, Bond Street and Oxford Circus tube stations.

Traditional silver service restaurant
Past the Grill, you’ll find our restaurant, one of London’s most historic and traditional silver service restaurants, specialising in serving the very best grass-fed, dry-aged British beef, daily caught fish, and seasonal dishes. With an extensive wine list, Sommelier Vladimir keeps a well stocked cellar, also serving the very best beers and Young’s ales, and tableside cocktails.

London’s original steakhouse since 1952. We specialise in grilling the very best beef available in the UK, sourced from our entrusted butchers at Godfreys of Finsbury Park, a family owned company who ensure we receive only the best cuts of meat. The beef along with our lamb cutlets, sausages, and various offal are delivered fresh every morning to fill the meat counter that greets you at the entrance to the restaurant.
Private Dining
Experience silver service fine dining in one of our three private dining rooms. The atmospheric spaces offer dining for up to 10, 14 or 20 guests, making them the perfect setting for entertaining and celebrating or board dinners.
Award winning pies
We have provided premium pies with suet lids since the 1940s using cuts from our dry aged beef. With an array of pies, both meat filled as well as vegetarian taking inspiration from classic British dishes, the firm favourite is our beef shin and horseradish pie topped with a cheese wrapped deep fried oyster.

Our dress code is smart casual, flip flops and vest for men are not allowed.
Sporting colours are also not allowed.
Pets, including dogs, are not permitted in the restaurant, with the exception of service animals, but are welcome in the pub.
To maintain a pleasant experience for all guests, we kindly ask that children at The Guinea to a be a minimum of 12 years old. For space and safety reasons, pushchairs and prams are not allowed.
All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
We do not do corkage at The Guinea, with a wine list offering over 350 labels we believe you will find a suitable wine to pair with your meal. Sommeliers are on duty at all times to help you.
We do not book areas in the pub unfortunately, the pub is for walk-ins only.
Gift vouchers are available at The Guinea as in any other Young’s pub.

Absolutely! At The Guinea we have three lovely Private Dining Rooms, all located on the first floor, to host your own unique private event.
The Gallery can seat up to 10 people in one table.
The Wine Room can seat up to 14 people in one table.

Yes, we are wheelchair accessible only from the Lounge side of the premises. Unfortunately, the Private Dining Rooms located on the first floor are not wheelchair accessible.
No our meat is not halal.
We are famous for our steaks and prime cuts of meat, we do offer some vegetarian options but few vegan options.
Regrettably we do not have a seated outside area but customers and welcome to enjoy drinks and nibbles in the street.
We serve Sunday roasts on Sundays from midday until 5pm.
We can only accommodate bookings of up to 8 guests in the main dining room. Our private rooms are ideal for group of 8 or more.
